The Great Lakes are a unique and vital resource: economically, socially and environmentally. Working with its Coastal Resilience Team, LIAA will be presenting a series of podcasts featuring experts, researchers and State of Michigan officials who are most familiar with the world’s largest freshwater lakes. In the first episode of the series, community planner Zach Vega discusses the dynamic nature of the Great Lakes with Dr. Guy Meadows of Michigan Tech University.
Please note: Financial assistance for this project was provided, in part, by the Coastal Management Program, Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy under the National Coastal Zone Management Program, through a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce. Statements, findings, conclusions, and recommendations in this podcast episode are those of LIAA and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
