This project will proceed in a multistep fashion and culminate with the creation of several visual enhancement plans for participating communities.
Step 1.
We'll use a series of forums to introduce the idea of visual enhancement and explain to interested communities how they can apply to participate. After that, we'll accept applications from communities to participate and 3 or 4 communities will be selected.
Step 2. With the assistance of a professional landscape architect and planner, we’ll hold public visioning meetings in each participating community to identify visual strength, weaknesses, opportunities and possible solutions. The information derived from the visioning sessions will form the basis of a proposed enhancement plan.
Step 3. The landscape architect will prepare several conceptual designs for each community, depicting the “vision” expressed during the meetings.
Step 4. These designs, as well as pictures and analysis of current conditions, will be posted to the website for public review.
Step 5. Following a review of these conceptual designs and with the assistance, we’ll prepare a plan that offers several options to help the communities realize their “vision”.
